Centenarian lived in interesting times
There's no doubt Ernesto Manrique's family had lots to talk about when they celebrated his 100th birthday with him at Michael's Back Door restaurant in Clarkson on Sunday.
After all

Prior to that, life hadn't been smooth sailing. During World War II

Mike says for many years they spent half the year in Canada and half in the Philippines. Eventually they adjusted their winter travelling to Arizona.
Manrique and his wife had six children Josephine, Sonnie, Cesar, Elizabeth, Alexander and Michael eight grandchildren and two greatgranddaughters.
Mike says his father was always happygolucky. He worked hard in banking, but his wife handled all the family finances
