When it opened its doors in 2005, this was Shanghai's first Persian restaurant and it named after the famous ancient city of Iran. Their interior decoration is typically Persian with bright carpets.
An afternoon at Drepung MonasteryEach temple in Lhasa has its own timetable. In a city where almost every inhabitant is a Buddhist, locals have a rather busy schedule, going to different temples on different days of the week. Since this was my first time in Lhasa, I wanted to make sure to visit the most prominent sites: Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, both monasteries founded during the 7th century. In each of these famous holy places, I was enchanted by what I saw. Pious believers with deep wrinkles and maroon robes shuffled along the narrow passages connecting temple chambers. Revered faces of Buddhist figures,Chanel Handbags, together with the frescos and stupas in the dim, celine bags online, buttery light of the lamps, illustrated the grand tale of Buddhist history in the region. But what left the deepest impression on me was Drepung Monastery, the largest in Tibet, located in Lhasa's western suburbs. The day we visited the massive complex, most of the locals were at other temples attending religious ceremonies. Lucky for us, there were few tourists there as well, and in the extraordinarily quiet temple we were able to find a rather mystifying space. The 15th-century temple complex is halfway up a mountain. It looks like an exotic town that descended from the clouds into this otherwise unspoiled nature. There is no marked entrance, and we only noticed we'd entered when a local child who'd trailed us stopped at the threshold.I looked up and saw chromatic curtains soaring high on the tall windows. On this plateau, everything looks closer to the sky. At the top of the stairs was one of the temple's broadest terraces, which ran the whole stretch of the complex, facing open, wide fields. Resonant Tibetan songs floated down from the upper temple and dissolved in the remote horizon where vague outlines of mountain ridges met the clouds. I felt that time ceased right at that moment. I spent the whole afternoon strolling around the monastery. From time to time, the pervasive tranquility of the place made me feel a bit jarred as backpackers, walking around in sunglasses snapping pictures with their cameras, stuck out like sore thumbs in this peaceful enclave. On a narrow path leading to the residence of the monks, I passed beneath two lamas who were debating on the balcony above in soft, inaudible tones. At the entrance to the small courtyard that sat in the middle of the monks' living quarters, I hesitated, having no clue whether it was proper to enter. I could see the signs of domestic life within the yard. A maroon robe was hanging on the balustrade on the second floor, drying in the wind. On a low stool, the steam from a teapot rose up and slowly disappeared into the surrounding greenery.During my afternoon at Drepung Monastery, I considered the boundary between the mundane and spiritual worlds. The two intermingled seamlessly in this quiet temple. At one point I followed the resonating Tibetan songs to find their source,Celine bag, expecting to find monks singing Buddhist scriptures. By the time I reached the terrace of a lofty palace, the sight of ordinary Tibetans, singing and dancing with brooms, mops and other tools in hand, took me by surprise. One youngster kindly told me that they clean the palace, engaging in this "labor dance" every afternoon.

His runs account for 42 per cent of his team's total and have earned him 109 ranking points, taking him to the top of the table despite paying at least a game less than every other player in the top 10.
The sound and fury of rubber-soled footsteps pervades your ears. Trainers yell Go! Go! Go! amid other shorthand codes of encouragement. You feel any minute now Nicholas Cage is going to swoop down from a loud hovering chopper, dangle down a rope ladder, ask for your hand and rescue you or that is, at least, the prayer. The run is only the first bit. And apparently there are variations in every class. Once you finish running the seemingly interminable stretch of dust-road, it s back into the warehouse for more muscle-torture.
